In order to keep your credential (Base/Pro-level) “active and current”, you need to do all of the following:
Education: You need to certify that you have completed at least 12 hours of professional continuing education in the relevant field over the past 12 months. Please be sure to maintain a log of all such training and education in case you are randomly selected for an audit by us. Note that (depending upon the type of training that you claim), you may be required to produce written and signed evidence from the training provider confirming your attendance/participation in the training/education. The following qualify as training/education for the purposes of this section:
Self-paced self-study (online/offline/in-person/remote)
Instructor-led training (online/offline/in-person/remote)
College-level courses (online/offline/in-person/remote)
Seminars/conferences (online/offline/in-person/remote)
Reading, writing, speaking and/or teaching (online/offline)
Experience (for those renewing/maintaining Pro-level certifications): You need to confirm that you have at least 3,600 hours (total) of relevant work experience over the prior three (3) years. We may need to verify this with a colleague/client/supervisor/other of yours that you have a close working relationship with, and so we require that you provide us with the contact information of at least 2 references who can vouch for the veracity of the claims that you are making herein. Note that who qualifies as a reference is dependent upon our sole discretion.
Other info: If there is ever a lapse in your certification renewals (e.g. you skip a few years of renewals) and you wish to bring your certification back to being “active and current”, you may do so by using the form below and paying the current fees below plus a $45/credential reinstatement fee.
Certification Annual Renewal/Maintenance Fees: Depending upon the number of certifications you have with us, pay the following (these fees are subject to change at anytime):
Note: The following renewal fees come into effect on April 1, 2025. If you renew before that date, the renewal fee is $95 for all your base- and pro-level certifications with us (plus $45 if one/more of your certification renewals has lapsed).
